One heart and of one soul…

One heart and one soul…
September 28, 2010

Disciple of Christ means Christian:
To be save, one must be a Christian. Actually Christians are Disciples of Christ. So, to be saved must become a Disciple of Christ.

And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.  Acts (KJV)

The five basic things:
To become a Disciple of Christ (being saved) I need to do five basic things:
1. Love Jesus more than any other things.
He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
Matt (KJV)
2. Take my Cross. It means that to become a Christian, I have duties and burdens to do and I must ready to do them.
And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. Matt (KJV)
And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
Luke (KJV)
3. Hate Sins
Behold, the Lord'S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: 2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.
Isaiah 59:1-2 (KJV)
4. Make Disciples
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Matt 28:16-20 (KJV)
5. Love one another
A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. 35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
John 13:34-35 (KJV)
Not me alone:

The very best things are I don’t do them all alone. Jesus provides His Disciples a community. The community is called Church. We always gather in a place and in that place I have brothers and sisters that also do the same thing above (poin 1-5) with me. We are one heart, one soul and one purpose, we are Disciples of Christ.

And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common. And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.

There are also many other things which Jesus did…

There are also many other things which Jesus did…
September 27,  2010

I am here to promote Jesus. There were so many things that the Bible tells about what he has done: Jesus’ first sermon (Matthew 5:1- ),
Jesus Cleansed he leper (Matthew 8:1-4), Jesus healed the sick people (Matthew 8:5-17, 19:1-2), He drove the devils out of the demoniacs (Matthew -34), He cured paralytic (9:1-8), He gave sight to blind men (Matthew -38), He healed the epileptic (Matthew -23),

If I want to tell about what have Jesus done in my life, there would be not enough papers in this world to write. He helped me to deal with my parents, he helped me to deal with my heart, He helped me to live a righteous life, He helped me to be joyful, He saved my finance many times, He cured my father many times, He choose me a good wife, He help me to have daughter and son and so many that I can’t describe.

He also teach me to be humble, he teach me to be patient, he teach me to respect my wife, he teach me to be a right husband and father, he teach me to have purpose in my life. If I want to write them, I think I don’t have enough pens to write them all.

And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen

The Scripture should be fulfilled…

The Scripture should be fulfilled…
September 26, 2010

What is my purpose? Is my purpose is to make my laundry business advance? Is my purpose to make my wife and my children happy? Is my purpose to make my Parents, brother and sisters happy? Is my purpose to make me wealthy and healthy?

I think those will be my purpose if I don’t become a Disciple of Christ. But now I am a Disciple of Christ. My purpose of life is not those things anymore although I must do those things while I do my purpose.

My purpose is the same as my teacher’s purpose. My purpose is to fulfill the scripture. Jesus already fulfilled some of them but there are other things that his Disciples must fulfill. It is to make other people become Disciples of Christ.

To make other people become Disciples of Christ is not easy. I need to be patient, to have a loving heart, and to trust God to do that. I pray to God to give me passion of that everyday. I wish I can save so many people’s life by making them Disciples of Christ when I still alive.

For these things were done, that the scripture should be fulfilled, A bone of him shall not be broken

Love Jesus…

Love Jesus…
September 25, 2010

I always tell everyone to seek the God and seek Him with all the heart. I think I need to tell also everyone to love Jesus but I don’t know how to tell them because to tell someone to love Jesus is not something instant. They must feel Jesus live in their live first then they will know Jesus is real and when they feel and know Jesus, they just can love Jesus. At least that was I think.

Why I love Jesus? Actually at the first when someone taught me about being a Disciple of Christ, I was very scared of the Hell because I have so many sins and I am very depressed. I think if I died, I must be put to the hell.

But, while the time goes by, I become more understand that what moved me is the love of Jesus, not the hell of Jesus anymore. There were many problems I faced before and Jesus always helps me out. He always accompanies me in my troubled time.

Now I feel I owe Jesus so much that I can’t afford. The more I intend to pay, the more I owe Him. That’s why I love Jesus the more each day.

For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God.

There are Cost to pay…

There are Cost to pay…
September 24, 2010

I want to help everybody to become Disciples of Christ. It is not easy. I must learn to love them. I must care about his life. So, I don’t just teach them the doctrine but I also down to earth.

I also want to be a success business man. I and my father are investing in a beef farm business. It’s very tired to go to the beef farm because the farm is very far away from our house. Need 1.5 hours to go there by car and need 1 hour more to reach the farm by speed boat. Now the farm is well guarded by the civilians. They are not enemies but friend now. God always show me the best way when I am out of idea.

My laundry business is going well now. There are more than 5 transactions everydays steadily, although my targets are 40 transactions per days. So, I bought a dryer and it makes my electricity billing increase and to catch up I myself sometime must do some ironing. I want to do that because I want to be ready when God wants to bless me. God always give me wisdom and bless my business.

God, thank you so much.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit. John (KJV)

Are we blind also?...

Are we blind also?...
September 23, 2010

Jesus cured a blind man and the Pharisees didn’t believe that Jesus did that. The Pharisees found his parents and asked about who has cured their son and his parent said that their son was adult know he should answer by himself.

The Pharisees found the blind man and ask about who cured him and he answered that Jesus cured him and He was the person that Jesus cured and the Pharisees asked to each other whether they were blind also.

Sometime I need to show to the people that Jesus has cured me from my ‘sick life’, so, the others can see their life and can realized that their life was sick also and need to be the Disciple of Christ.

Sometime to share bible means sharing life. I need to share my life that has been changed by Jesus. The persons that listen to my story can realized that he need Jesus also.

And some of the Pharisees which were with him heard these words, and said unto him, Are we blind also? Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth.

Motivations…

Motivations…
September 22, 2010

Become a Christian (or a Disciple of Christ) for years some time can change my motivation in to a wrong one. I seek God not have a good relationship with him anymore but to ask for help and blessing.

This is not good. If my heart like that, I must immediately change it with the right one with the right motivations. I must seek God everyday not to see the miracles (although God can still make miracles in my life), not because what I eat (although God can still bless me with foods), not because another bless like wealth, health, etc (although God can still give me that).

Jesus said that I must not work for the thing that can perish but for the thing that endure unto everlasting life and it is salvations. I must make sure that I was saved when I die and I must help other people to be saved (although sometime I need to work hard to maintain my family’s needs).

By the way, actually God really help me to maintain my family. I just focus on the people that want to learn the bible and I believe that God keep giving me the customers for my laundry business and it does.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled. Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.

Understanding the Scripture…

Understanding the Scripture…
September 21, 2010

Success is achieving the plan joyfully. If I can achieve what I plan but don’t feel the joy in the end, it is not a success.

Sometime we set our goal, plan and do anything to achieve it. But, sometime we forget to include God in our plan. We didn’t read the bible and seek the wisdom from God.

Like the Disciple of Christ. When Jesus appeared to his Disciples after he was raised from the tomb, he told his disciple what he has said before he died and the disciple become to understand what he said.

The disciple before was very sad and lost hope but now they are happy and they know what to do because they finally understand the word of God.

Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scripture

To day shalt thou be with me in paradise…

To day shalt thou be with me in paradise…
September 20, 2010

Jesus has no fault and he has done nothing worthy of death but he was put to death by the people. They didn’t understand what they did and Jesus didn’t blame them.

In his final time when he was hung in the cross, in a very deep pain, he still did the best. He still remembered to serve a bad man in his last minutes of his life.

He said to that bad man :”Today shalt thou be with me in paradise”. I think the feeling of the man is very release and very happy even he also crucified to death.

Sometime, when we follow Jesus, our condition of our life still not changes. Like today, when I went to my father’s house, I feel very sad because my fathers’ health is not good. The most things that make me sad are my father has not known Jesus Christ yet. I hope I can make him disciple of Christ before he is out from this word. I pray to God to give me wisdom and more time to help my father.

Said unto them, Ye have brought this man unto me, as one that perverteth the people: and, behold, I, having examined him before you, have found no fault in this man touching those things whereof ye accuse him: No, nor yet Herod: for I sent you to him; and, lo, nothing worthy of death is done unto him

Received my sight…

Received my sight…
September 19, 2010

Sometime I am blind. I can not see. Blind here doesn’t mean that physically blind but it means that blind in understanding. I can’t see what is going wrong with my life. I can’t see what is happening around. I don’t have wisdom to understand everything happen in my life.

Like a blind man in the bible. He was sitting near the gate of the Jericho. He was begging there. When he heard that Jesus came, he shouted with a loud voice and the people there scolded him but he cried so much the more. He attracted Jesus and finally Jesus made him healthy again. He can see again.

I am blind and all I need is begging to Jesus with all my strength until Jesus came and makes me see again. The more the difficulties, the more I shout and cry to God. That kind of heart I need.

Now I am teaching a married man. He can’t read well not because of he is blind but his educations is very low grade. He never finished basic school. He is now 44th years old and has one grand daughter. His background is not a Christian, but he is seeking for God because he is now in a trouble that disturbs his mind. I am blind; I don’t have the understanding to help him. I need to cry to the LORD to make me see what is the conditions and how I can help myself to help him.

And immediately he received his sight, and followed him, glorifying God: and all the people, when they saw it, gave praise unto God.

Rebuke…

Rebuke…
September 18, 2010

In the kingdom of God, everybody have right to rebuke each other. The purpose is to make somebody to repent after that we must forgive them, although he doesn’t repent.

Few months ago, I and my wife rebuked a couple married in the kingdom of God. They were unfaithful to each other. The wife has an affair and the husband also do the same.

They are not respecting each other. They have two kids but they didn’t become an example in their family. Everyday they quarrel and their kids got the impact.

Then we rebuke them. After that, we also bring them to the preacher to rebuke them because they didn’t repent. After that, we also give them counsel routinely, slow but sure, they repent and now they are happy. Still so many homework to do with them but the direction is right now.

Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.

Blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it…

Blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it…
September 17, 2010

Everybody wants to be blessed. They want God bless them. I, too want God bless me. For many people bless is a condition that their needs like wealth, health, safety, family member, harmonic condition etc. are being given well by God. Yes, God also give them if he wants to.

But what is a blessing in God’s eyes? In the Luke said that if someone that hear the word of God and keep it, it is a blessing.

So, to be blessed, I need to hear the word of God and keep it in my heart and applied it in my life. I will be blessed. May be the verse (Matthew ) talks about this kind of bless, too.

And it came to pass, as he spake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked. But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.

Choose that good part…

Choose that good part…
September 16, 2010

Today is very busy. There are job to catch up. Our customers want to take their clothes but they have not finished yet even some of them haven dry yet.

I, my wife and my employee work very hard to finish the job. Suddenly the customer came and we only finished them half. Still have to be ironed and the customers said that he wanted to take the rest in one hour later. Today we are so tired.

I feel that I am so far from God because this morning I don’t prepare my heart. I was being busy and not depend on God. I want to say sorry to God and repent.

I need to prepare my heart like Mary. I need to sit near Jesus and after that I will work very hard to finished my job that day.

But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

The Purpose…

The Purpose…
September 15, 2010

Jesus Christ can give wealth to everyone if He wants to. But sometime when he gave the wealth to some one, the one who was given wealth forgot the purpose of him being called. Wealth is not the purpose but the purpose is becoming a fisher of men.

God bless my laundry business. Although my laundry business is a small business with one employee, it can earn almost US$ 16 every day now and it still increasing.

In the middle of my business, I take time to be a fisher of men. I try to tell the gospel in my busy time. Some time I meet a new customer and I try to invite him or her to the church service so he or she can listen to the words of God being preached there.

Some time I try to share the bible to the one that being introduced to me. Some time I invite my neighbor to attend the church service or a bible discussion forum.

I am happy to do this because it is harmless to everyone and it can help every one that wants to accept the words of God to have a better life. They will live a life full of love and meaningful.

Live a biblical life never bored. If someone feels bored, he or she must be done it with the wrong way and they need to find out what is the problem to be fixed.

Mine eyes have seen thy salvation…

September 14, 2010

Jesus came to earth is not for war. Jesus came to earth is not to blame every one. Jesus came in peace and he brought peace to everyone that wants to follow his way.

Jesus is not the same as the people we know. Jesus is Jesus. Jesus is not like our boss, he is not like our parents, he is not like our neighbor, he is not like our brothers or sisters, and he is not like every body. Once again, Jesus is Jesus. Please don’t miss understand with Jesus. He never tell to Kill the enemy or the one that not with him. He never tells to hit someone. He never tells to hate someone.

If Jesus is good and what he teaches is good, why there are still many people hate Jesus? I think there are many factors that the people still hate Jesus: They don’t read the bible and try to understand it, they see the people that admit as a Christian but done something bad, They see their friends, parents, families that admit as a Christian but done nothing like the bible says.

For me, I just follow Jesus. I don’t want to see everybody because no body is perfect. Follow Jesus is follow Jesus, not follow the one admit as a Christian. Follow Jesus is do what he said and Bible said. I follow Jesus because mine eyes have seen thy salvation.

For mine eyes have seen thy salvation, Which thou hast prepared before the face of all people;

Parental Devotional for parents that have teenagers...

Parental Devotional for parents that have teenagers.

As a parent of a teenager, how would you describe your relationship with your teenager last year? Did it go as well as you had hoped? Are there any areas you would like to improve in the New Year? If honesty was required, than I bet every parent of a teenager would agree there is room for growth in their parenting relationship. Whether you are a veteran parent of a teenager or a newbie, here are some practical suggestions of how to improve your relationship with your teenager in the New Year.

1. Make a weekly time to have breakfast

The great thing about breakfast is it is usually the only time of the day when it is easy to be on time. No prior meetings can cause delays. No prolonged prior appointments will necessitate a need to reschedule or cancel. Some families find it helpful to find a morning during the week because they are already at home together. Others find a weekend morning better. Why not use this time to catch up on your teenager’s activities for the day?

2. Make it a point to eat 3-5 meals together

I’ve heard there are studies that suggest eating meals together as a family decreases at risk behaviors in teens. I would attribute this to it provides a time for parents to stay consistently involved in your teenager’s life happenings, more than just once a week. Use this time talk about what is taking place in their daily lives, not to lecture them. Out of 21 meals in a week, what 3 meals will you set aside to eat together with your teenager?

3. Improve communication with your teenager

Use your ears more than your mouth. If you are unsure what to talk about, find something to get your teenager’s opinion on. If there is one thing a teenager likes to give, it’s his/her opinion. Check out the popular culture blogs for some conversation starters. You do not have to necessarily agree, just have a dialogue with them.

4. Combine mutual hobbies and quality time

In today’s overly scheduled society, both parents and teenagers can find it difficult to find some time to spend together. Why not combine the two. Does your teenager like be outside, and you like to exercise? Why not learn a sport together? Get your creative juices flowing!

5. Implement a Family Night once a month

A Family Night is simply a scheduled time where everyone in the family will be together. Even with hurried schedules, it is still possible to gather together once a month to spend time together. A Family Night has just one agenda: Fun, fun, fun – no lectures, no handling any conflict or discipline problems. Just some time to relax and be with one another. It can be as lavish as a dinner and play, or as relaxed as ordering pizza and watching pay per view.

6. Plan a family vacation

I know this sounds simple, and for some it even seems crazy given the difficult relationship you may have with your teenager. However, family vacations can also be healing for some parents and teenagers. A lot of conflict arises from miscommunication, short tempers, and just being exhausted. Family vacations allow parents and teenagers to relax and recharge. Involve your teenager in some of the vacation planning to give him/her a sense of ownership. This can decrease the amount of conflict and self reported claims of boredom on your family vacation.

If last year did not seem to go as you had dreamed, then do not get discouraged! You now have over 300 days to strengthen your parenting relationship.

No time to sleep…

No time to sleep
September 13, 2010

There are so many people in this world. In a survey said that there are about 6,868,400,000 people and the Christian’s population on earth is about 2,000,000,000 people. And I think that the two billion Christian not all is really a Christian, some of them become a Christian because their parents are Christian, some of them become a Christian because their spouse is a Christian, some of them become Christian may be because of political issue, and etc. but a little of them become a Christian because they understand how Christian is.

Jesus’ burden is to save every people in this earth. When Jesus was very burden and want to pray, he found out his Disciple was felt asleep. He was very sad because his disciple didn’t have the same heart and the same burden like Him.

Today, Jesus’ mission still continues. His Disciples are working very hard to save as many people they can afford. They want every one to go to the heaven. There is no time to “sleep” anymore. No time to sleep means that there is no time to blur or do nothing.

For me, even the first thing I pray now is the list of the people that I want to tell about Jesus and everyday I do something to help them to become a real Christian, a life Changing Christian, not only a named Christian.

And he cometh, and findeth them sleeping, and saith unto Peter, Simon, sleepest thou? couldest not thou watch one hour?

Become a cornerstone…

September 12, 2010

There are no buildings or statues that Jesus remains for us because the buildings are not important for Christianity. The most important thing is the people. Every people’s heart was changed by the teaching of Jesus and they become shining. Shining means become the good examples to other people.

Jesus choose every one that want to become his Disciple. Jesus doesn’t see their wealth, their education background, family background, their job and social states. Jesus wants their heart. Jesus will make them become the corner stone, a foundation stone.

Becoming a corner stone is becoming the one that people can trust. A "cornerstone-man" is a man that can give the right foundation of troubled life. The foundation is the gospel and everyone that become a Disciple of Christ will become a foundation.

And have ye not read this scripture; The stone which the builders rejected is become the head of the corner: This was the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?

Change the taste not the look…

Change the taste not the look…
September 11, 2010

God want me to focus on changing from inside. God want me to change my heart, my motivations and mind set then automatically I will change my attitude and my doing.

It is also what I need to do for others. What God want me to do with other is help them change from inside first and then they will automatically change their doing.

Some people very proud of something that can be seen like: the amount of numbers of members, appearance, accessories, make up, music, atmosphere, etc.

Yes, it is good but it is not the main to be focused. Some religion in my country very focus on what that can seen outside, like their clothing, their buildings, even they announce their pray and fasting to let every one know that they are holy people, they put accessories in their houses to let every one know that they are holy but they didn't focus on heart changing.

Jesus wants me to be like salt. Salt can change the taste not the look. So, I’d like to help everyone to be their counselor of their heart not what they did. A good attitude is from a good heart.

Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.

Peace, be still…

Peace, be still…
September 10, 2010

Sometime there are turbulences in my life. Turbulences means very big problems that make me almost give up and feel that it is impossible for me to get trough them. They are financial problem, attitude problem, sins problem, relationship problem, family problem, health problem, etc.

It is may be I can not get through the problems because I don’t have enough understanding and enough energy to get through the problems. But the bible said that Jesus can calm the “turbulences”.

His disciples very worried when the turbulences came and hit their boat. Their boat was almost sinking. They came to Jesus with panic and Jesus calm the turbulence. Although they are not feel secure and they panic, but when they came to Jesus, the turbulence were calmed down by Jesus.

Some time I don’t have faith any more and feel like doomed. But, all I need is to come to Jesus, even my condition is in panic but Jesus can calm my turbulence. Jesus said Peace, be still and it will be peace and be still.

And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.  And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith? And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?  Mark 4:39-41 (KJV)

If Jesus is not the only way…

If Jesus is not the only way…
September 9, 2010

If Jesus Christ is not the God, then he must be:
A crazy man.
If Jesus is a crazy man and his words is non-sensed so, why there are so many people want to follow him (the crazy man)?
A liar.
If Jesus is a liar and his words can’t be taken responsibility so, why he is so stupid that want to be tortured and even die for his lies?
A story legend.
If Jesus does not exist and he is only a story tale legend so, why so many people want to follow him (story legend like Superman, Spiderman or Batman) even until today there are so many church that still worship Jesus Christ?
An ordinary human.
If Jesus is an ordinary human, then why his birth was foretold before - Isaiah 7:14 and Matthew 1:18-25, why his death was foretold before – Psalm 22 and Matthew 27:1-43, why he is no sins - Matthew 27:1-10, why he can raise from deathMatthew 27:45-66 and Matthew 28:1-10?

A super human.
If Jesus is a super human, why he doesn’t die - Matthew 28:1-10?

So, may be it’s time to consider Jesus Christ is God that comes to the earth speaking human language so that every human in this earth can understand and follow him to his place in the heaven. Only the one from heaven know how to go to heaven.

Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men.
