Fear means respect not afraid…

Fear means respect not afraid….
June 12, 2010

Today I want to thank God because he has given me a wife, a daughter, a laundry business, and an employee.

Yet there are still have problems with me: The problem when I and my wife are not in one conclusion, the problem when my daughter got sick, the problem when I can not afford to buy the medicine (for pregnancy) for my wife, the problem when my business still got deficits (it is almost US$ 100 within this month), the problem when my employee did the wrong things that cost money, etc…., I want to thank God because he still keep watching on me.

Like example: yesterday my daughter was sick. She got fever. Her heat is about 39°C. We can’t sleep well even we are very sleepy. I wake up very often just to measure her heat and make sure she was alright and then I pray to GOD to watch over my daughter and today she is better. I surrender to God in my praying.

Praying is one from many examples that I do to fear God. The others are obeying him, avoiding sins, sharing the good news to everyone, etc.

I learn to fear God not because he is spooky. I fear him because I respect him. Every part of my life either it is good or bad belongs to God. Like the bible says in Ecclesiastes 12:13-14.

Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil. Eccl 12:13-14 (KJV)
